Because my service is different from that of a traditional solicitors practice I am able to offer competitive pricing at just £150 per hour. Therefore if I advise you for one hour you pay a flat rate of £150 (inclusive of VAT).
That’s right you can get employment law advice from a Solicitor for £150 per hour
I will always give you a full estimate of the cost for the work that is required and will update you regularly as the case proceeds and in order to help you manage your finances I will bill you on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis, depending upon your requirements.
In some cases we may be able to agree a fixed fee, and I will be happy to discuss this with you.
It is advisable to check any insurance policies to see if you have cover for legal expenses in the event that you have an employment tribunal claim or a claim is made against you.
If you have insurance cover then your insurer will normally cover you once the case reached the Employment Tribunal. Check your policy and with your insurer to see what and when you will be covered.
Your insurer will normally try to push you to use one of their panel solicitors for your case, but you can nominate your own solicitor. I am happy to assist you under insurance funding, and can liaise with your insurer as necessary.
Employment Tribunal Fees
If you are an employee pursuing a claim then you will need to pay a fee to the Employment Tribunal to start your claim.
The fees are:
Type A Cases
Include straightforward claims, such as unpaid wages, redundancy pay, holiday pay, equal pay and notice pay claims for unpaid wages.
Issue fee £160 payable when you make your claim.
Hearing fee £230 payable when ordered by the Tribunal.
Type B Cases
Include claims for discrimination, unfair dismissal and whistle-blowing.
Issue fee £250 payable when you make your claim.
Hearing fee £950 payable when ordered by the Tribunal.
If the case reaches the final hearing stage, it is often advisable to ask a Barrister to represent you and put across your case or defence at the hearing.
I would of course discuss this with you depending upon your circumstances and the Barrister’s rates will be agreed before instructing them to act on your behalf.
Medical & other reports
If it is necessary to obtain a medical report or some other experts report then you may have to pay this cost.
